Kevin Fischer and Andrew Rossa at South Stadium

MCC honors the "voice of South Stadium" Kevin Fischer

On Friday, Oct. 10, at halftime of the Marshall Eagles-Bradley Tech Trojans football game, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and the Milwaukee City Conference (MCC) honored longtime South Stadium announcer Kevin Fischer for his 50 years of service. Known as “the voice of South Stadium,” Fischer is recognized for his professionalism, passion, and unmistakable voice.

Fischer began his journey with MPS as a ticket taker and member of the chain crew. In 1975, he began announcing the games due to his work experience with WTMJ4 in radio and television. Since then, Fischer has been a game-day fixture at South Stadium, enhancing the experience for generations of players, coaches, and fans.

Milwaukee Recreation interim director Andrew Rossa presented Fischer with the award during the halftime ceremony.
