Frank Ciepluch (Reagan High School) and Jaiden Alvarado-Jones (Rufus King High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 25-31. 

Ciepluch competed in the WIAA regional tournament on May 27 at Muskego Hills Country Club, shooting a 73 (1 over par). The sophomore placed third among the 27 other golfers at the Franklin regionals. Ciepluch’s performance earned him a spot on the green in the Westosha Central sectional tournament, taking place this Wednesday, June 4, at Brighton Dale Links Golf Course. 

Alvarado-Jones has been cruising through the postseason track and field tournaments, most recently competing in the Menomonee Falls sectional on May 30. The senior earned a first-place win in the 100M dash and finished in the top three for both the 200M and 400M dash. With those scores, Alvarado-Jones will compete in the state tournament this weekend on June 6 and 7 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex in La Crosse, Wis.
