Laila Duncan (Riverside Univ. High School) and Owen Hirthe (Reagan High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 4-10.

Duncan tossed her first career no-hitter in the Tigers’ win over Hamilton on Monday, May 5. For the week, Duncan struck out 17 batters over 17 innings in five appearances in the circle, while tallying 16 hits, 17 runs, and 10 RBIs in six games at the plate.

In the Milwaukee City Conference softball tournament on Saturday, May 10, Riverside and Duncan advanced to the championship game with wins over Bay View and Rufus King, before falling to Reagan in the title game.

Hirthe propelled Reagan to a 4-1 record last week, posting a 5-15 batting line with six runs scored, six RBIs, and three walks. The Huskies are undefeated within the MCC to start the year.
