Reagan’s Michalak and Rufus King’s Willis Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (May 11)

Larissa Michalak (Reagan High School) and Halle Willis (Rufus King High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 3-9.

Michalak had a standout week on the mound, pitching a combined 24 innings for the Huskies. The junior was dominant throughout, striking out 28 batters while conceding just two earned runs. She proved equally impactful at the plate, scoring six runs and driving in eight more across the week’s contests. Reagan went 5-1 and maintained their undefeated conference record, with their lone loss coming in a narrow 2-1 defeat to St. Thomas More.

Willis delivered a memorable performance in Rufus King’s matchup against Audubon last Wednesday. The junior found the back of the net in the Play for Max game, a dedication event held in honor of her late older brother. The Generals improved to 5-3 on the season, holding firm in third place in the conference standings.
