Terryn Mcbride (Rufus King High School) and Mosley Patzke (Rufus King High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 8-14.

Mcbride steamrolled through the WIAA girls wrestling postseason, advancing to sectionals after winning her regional matchup on Friday, Feb. 13 in 1:23. The senior boasts a perfect 33-0 record heading into Friday’s sectional matchup, building on a breakout 2025 season that saw her capture the conference tournament and regional titles before placing third at sectionals. 

In the water, Patzke had a stellar performance at the WIAA boys sectional swim meet on Saturday, Feb. 14. The senior claimed first place in both the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, while helping Rufus King’s relay team clinch third in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle. His postseason showing secured his third trip to the state meet, which begins Feb. 20.
