Washington’s Baker and Rufus King’s Klassen Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Sept. 29)
Rudy Baker (Washington High School) and Max Klassen (Rufus King High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 21-27.
Baker put on an unforgettable show in last Thursday’s 62-0 homecoming win against North Division. The senior totaled seven touchdowns, returning two punts for touchdowns and taking back two interceptions for two more scores. Baker capped off the evening with 96 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown.
Klassen was equally vital to Rufus King’s second-place finish at the Trojan Invitational last Friday. The senior placed third in the boys varsity cross country meet, posting a new season-best time of 16:30:70 at Jackson Park.
